Two days Training Workshop inaugurated at FJA

“Institution of Magistrate: Cornerstone of Criminal Justice System”
Islamabad: A two-day training workshop on “Institution of Magistrate-Cornerstone of Criminal Justice System “was inaugurated by Mr. Hayat Ali Shah, Director General, Federal Judicial Academy, Islamabad, September 14, 2018.
While addressing the young judicial officers in the inaugural ceremony of the training workshop, Director General of the Academy sensitized them about the importance of justice in Islam.
He said that the distinction of Islam amongst other religions of the world is its justice system. It is indeed, the religion of justice.
DG also shed light on the background of this two days training workshop, its objectives and the role of institution of magistrate in the criminal justice system.
“Since the institution of Magistrate is the cornerstone of criminal justice system, therefore, this two-day workshop focuses on its “dual role’. Firstly, its supervisory role as administrator and secondly as the judicial officer in the criminal justice system,” DG observed.
Twenty one Civil Judges/ Judicial Magistrates are attending this two days workshop at the Academy.
