“In the changed circumstances the role of District and Sessions and Judges is of leadership and this five days unique training course is designed to help the participants to become more effective leaders,” said Director General, Federal Judicial Academy, Mr. Hayat Ali Shah while inaugurating a five-day training on “Leadership and Management” for District and Sessions Judges from all over Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Sharing his innate wisdom with the participants on this question, “Why leadership and management training course for senior judicial officers of district judiciary”, DG was of the view that a volley of theories and arguments were under deliberation and discussion when it came to the leadership of District and Sessions Judges. The Academy mulled over those and developed this training course.
“Reflecting upon the changing role of judiciary in the wake of the changed environment and circumstances, we felt the dire need to arrange this type of training course for the District and Sessions Judges so that our heads of district judiciary lead the change” DG observed.
´Through relevant readings, case discussions, and introspective exercises, we can gain a broader and deeper understanding of organizational culture and dynamics, management best practices, the role of the leaders, and the nature of influence. As we explore our own personality, strengths, and weaknesses, we will begin to evolve a leadership style that is uniquely ours,” opined the DG of the Academy. Twenty six District and Sessions Judges are undergoing this unique five–day long training in the Academy. A galaxy of celebrated subject specialists/professionals are invited to share their wisdom with the participants on these topics such as Understanding Challenges at the Workplace, Team Building through Engagement, Change Management, Individual Command Tasks, Conflict Resolution and Crisis Management, Planning, Prioritization and Delegation, Developing Work Plan, Communication and Public Relations, Public Speaking and Effective Presentation, Measuring Performance and Self-Assessment Check List.
