Islamabad: Honourable Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Muhsir Alam said that, “Nothing is of more importance than out-of-the box thinking and train our judges in professional wisdom and virtues, coupled with managerial and leadership skills, to cope with the emerging challenges of this minutely changing world.”
He expressed these views in the certificate awarding ceremony of a five-day training course on “Management and Leadership” held at the Federal Judicial Academy, Islamabad, on Friday in which he was invited as the chief guest.
Emphasizing on the necessity of training on management and leadership the chief guest said that the training at the FJA can help judges to increase their managerial and leadership virtues and skills.
“I am sanguine that with this “Management and Leadership” course, which is not a conventional type of course, the participants would have learnt the art of leadership in the Academy,” sounded optimism Honourable Judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Earlier, Director General of the Academy, Mr. Hayat Ali Shah presented his welcome address and shed light on the Strategic Plan of the Academy.
“The Strategic Plan provides a futuristic road map for the personal grooming and professional development of our trainees,” DG observed.
On the occasion, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed Kalwar, District and Sessions Judge, Tharparkar @ Mithi, presented a research-oriented book “Civilizations and Civil Liberties” to the chief guest.
Twenty-seven District and Sessions Judges, including 3 female District and Sessions Judges, took part in the course conducted by the Academy, and were awarded certificates by the chief guest in the ceremony.
