Concluding ceremony of 5 Days Training for Civil Judges-cum-Magistrate on “Law of Evidence” at FJA
A Judge must be firm and courageous: Mr.Aymon Zia, Registrar, Federal Shariat Court
The Concluding ceremony of a five-day training course on “Law of Evidence” was held at the Federal Judicial Academy on Friday.
The training was conducted from 6 to 9 November, 2018 at the Academy in which 25 Civil Judges-cum-Magistrates from all over Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and PAF JAG Officers, participated.
In his remarks, Director General of the Academy, Mr. Hayat Ali Shah discussed the importance of the training by saying that, “confidence comes from training and discipline.”
“For us the perfect role model, the Judge, is the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) who revolutionized the fate of entire humanity. The Prophet (SAW) has accorded a lot of importance to evidence in any case. You must read a famous book titled, “The 100 A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History” authored by Michael H. Hart. I hope that this training was useful for you. It would have galvanized you and strengthened your skills about a very important subject which is the backbone of justice system,” said the Director General.
Syed Bhurhan Haider Gardezi ,Civil Judge –cum-Magistrate, on behalf of the participants, appreciated the efforts of the FJA in building the capacity of judicial officers on very important subjects and topics.
Registrar, Federal Shariat Court, Mr. Aymon Zia was the chief guest at the ceremony. At the outset of his address, the chief guest paid glowing tributes to the Holy Prophet (SAW) for his matchless service to humanity.
“Honesty is a must for a Judge, but closely associated with honesty is courage to cope with the inclement situations and circumstances. Courage is the hallmark of ajudge. A Judge must be firm and courageous,” he concluded.
At the conclusion of the training, participants were awarded certificates.
