Mr. Fakhar Hayat, a career judge and judicial educator, currently serving as Director, Academics has earlier remained associated with the Academy in various capacities as Member Directing Staff, Director Instructions and also Acting Director General. He has also been one of the founding Directors of the Punjab Judicial Academy.
He carries judicial career legacy, starting from Civil Judge to District and Sessions Judge, Judge Banking Court, and also as Registrar, Lahore High Court. As Registrar, Lahore High Court, he had actively contributed in the Access to Justice Program both, in its negotiations and implementations and also judicial reforms in the district judiciary. He also served as Legal Consultant, NAB and Member, Punjab Service Tribunal.
In his capacity as Judge and Judicial Educator, he has, not only attended but also arranged and participated in several Workshops, Seminars and Conferences, in and abroad, particularly “Delay Reduction in the Courts”, Annual Judicial Conferences, which aimed at bringing out the issues beset with the Judiciary, and SAARC Judicial Conference on “Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism” held in Bangladesh.
In his pursuit for excellence in judicial education and teaching pedagogies, he has travelled to different countries, prominently, Saudi Arabia, Canada, UK, Ireland, Singapore, and Bangladesh.
