Ms. Shazia Munawar Makhdoom

Shazia Munawar Makhdoom has had a distinguished 16 years career in the judiciary, commencing her service in 2008 as a Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate. She has held various positions within the Punjab Judiciary, including Judge of Civil Courts, Family Courts, and Magistrate, as well as Guardian Judge.

Additionally, she has served as a member of the Advisory Council to the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court in 2017. Furthermore, while in LHC she has co-authored the Court and Case Management policy with the Specialized Courts Project and served as Secretary of the Women's Welfare Committee, Punjab Judiciary.

Notably, she has been instrumental in driving technological innovation in the judiciary, pioneering IT initiatives and collaborating with esteemed institutions such as LUMS on pilot projects in 2013 to 2017. Her contributions include the development of the first Case Flow Management System for district judiciary and Enterprise Case Management System for the Lahore High Court, in partnership with PITB. She was awarded with a prize of a laptop by the then Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, Lahore.

Makhdoom has also represented the Punjab judiciary and Lahore High Court as a speaker in various international forums, including a seminar on violence against women organized by the Status of Women Commission of Pakistan, and conferences in Bangkok, Thailand, and the UK on modernizing justice. She has also participated as a speaker in a seminar on gender-based violence cases in Pakistan, organized by the Asian Development Bank in Manila, Philippines.

Represented LHC as speaker in "2nd Punjab Women Judges Conference 2017" and on the establishment of first Gender Based Violence Cases Court in the "3rd Punjab Women Judges Conference 2019". Organised many conferences in Punjab Judicial Academy and Federal Judicial Academy.

She has also held the position of Senior Instructor at the Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore. Currently, she is posted as Additional Director, Programme & Coordination, at the Federal Judicial Academy.
