Ms. Nida Usman Chaudhary

Nida Usman Chaudhary is an award winning, diversity and inclusion advocate and founder of women in law initiative Pakistan. She holds LL.B (Hons) and LL.M in Law and Development from the University of London. She has over 15 years of experience in research, training, teaching and capacity building. Her areas of focus include amongst others, gender-based violence, fair representation, and child rights.

She was amongst the list of 100 women from global south featured in Femilist 100 by Gender Security Project in 2021 and has won the international Justitia Awards 2021 in category academia International in Vienna. She was invited to speak at the 3rd international women in law conference in Vienna and has presented a paper on 'examining diversity and inclusion in the legal sector - a case of Pakistan' at a conference held by WU University, Vienna in 2023.

Previously, she also won SewEgap Emerging Women Leader award in 2018. She was also awarded the 'Certificate of Recognition' by the honourable Governor of Punjab, Mr. Baligh ur Rehman for her contributions to fair representation, law and policy inputs for women and child rights legislation at the 75th Independence Day celebrations at the Governor House, Punjab. In 2023, she won the global leadership award for women's rights activism as part of Global Top 50 in Sri Lanka.
